Our Mission

 Our Mission

The mission of Preventing Decline is to help people protect their brain and body, reduce their risk of preventable decline, and enjoy more healthy, active years. Through expert education, evidence-based resources, and ongoing support, we empower our members to make meaningful changes across four essential pillars of healthy aging:

1- Hearing Health

Healthy hearing keeps us connected to the people and experiences that give life meaning. Hearing loss is also recognized as one of the leading modifiable risk factors associated with cognitive decline and dementia.

Preventing Decline partners with hearing healthcare professionals all across North America to provide trusted education about hearing loss, tinnitus, brain health, and healthy aging. Our members receive expert guidance, including education from a nationally recognized neuroscientist—to help them pursue greater hearing clarity, better communication, and effective tinnitus care.

2- Purposeful Movement

The human body was designed to move. However, healthy aging requires more than simply being active. It requires moving safely, consistently, and with purpose.

Preventing Decline+ members receive evidence-based education and practical guidance from an experienced exercise physiologist. These resources help members improve muscular strength, cardiovascular endurance, flexibility, balance, and stability so they can remain active, independent, and confident. This is especially important because falls are the leading cause of injury among adults ages 65 and older.

3- Nutrition and Supplementation

Good nutrition provides the fuel the brain and body need to function at their best. A consistent eating pattern built around nutrient-dense foods can support energy, muscle strength, cognitive health, and overall well-being throughout the aging process.

Whole foods should provide the foundation of a healthy diet. When individual nutritional needs cannot be fully met through food alone, thoughtfully selected Preventing Decline supplements may help fill important gaps and support a strong, vibrant, and active life.

4- Community and Connection

Meaningful relationships are essential to healthy aging. Regular social interaction can strengthen emotional well-being, encourage healthier behaviors, and help protect against the isolation and loneliness that may contribute to physical and cognitive decline.

Preventing Decline brings together people who share a desire to live healthier, more purposeful lives. Through live events, educational symposiums, online webinars, and group coaching led by Preventing Decline health experts, our members gain knowledge, encouragement, accountability, and a supportive community for the journey ahead.

Together, these four pillars provide a practical foundation for protecting brain and body health—not simply to add more years to life, but to add more life to those years.
